120 A Hastings Bicyclist at Maidstone. —Mr. E. C. Gilbert, captain of the Hastings St. Leonards Bicycle Club, was second in the one mile open handicap race, and third the two mile race at the annual bicycle race meeting arranged by the Kentish clubs, which took place at Maidstone on Saturday last, in unpropitious weather. Considering the character of the meeting, Mr. Gilbert may be warmly congratulated on his success.
