Pedal ups and downs Triumphs and disappointment were charted by members of the Hastings and St Leonards Cycling Club at the weekend. Of the three teams of pairs riding the Wessex VTTA team time trial at Ringwood in Hampshire, Mark Knowles, 16 aided by veteran partner Derek Addrison recorded a scorching 59min 2sec to score 11th position in the 49 team field. Meanwhile John Willis and Pete Campany clocked a creditable 1hr 1min 55sec.
