7/09/1940 Hastings Observer 87	Cycling Club Notes The run last Sunday was around Kentish lanes, leaving via Ore, Icklesham and Rye to Wittersham Stocks. The main road was followed to Tenterden via Smallhythe, and the lunch destination was London Beach. Afterwards the riders went on to Benenden and lane riding brought them to Hartley. They continued via Hawkhurst to Hurst Green for tea, returning home through Roberstbridge and Battle. Tomorrow (Sunday) the club run leaves the Royal Oak at 8.30 am for Withyham. Tea at Three Cups at 5 pm.
