This photograph was taken at the Catford CC Possibly Catford to Hastings race 1950/1960
Unknown on the current A21 (at this time it was not the main road to Hastings as the A21 went through Battle) coming south just before the turn off to Sedlescombe village. The gantry was waning that this was not the main road and drivers had to give way to traffic going to Sedlescombe).Possibly Catford CC London to Hastings event or a Hastings - London Place to Place Record. This could be linked to the photos of the same chap on a trike at the Pelham Fountain, and Junction Road)
