The Course used was the  H5:

Start in Pangbourne lane, Theale, 722yds North of mile stone "Wallingford 12". Proceed through Tidmarsh, Pangbourne and Basildon to the Bull, Streatley (5m 1611yds). Straight on, bear right in 300yds to Wallingford (11m 1290yds). Follow one way street and straight on to Shillingford Bridge (great care down hill) and Shillingford Junction (14m 107yds). Bear left into Dorchester to Dorchester Junction (15m 1693yds). Fork left through Clifden Hampden to a point 154yds south of south end of the west parapet of Abingdon Bridge (Turn) (21m 1446yds). Retrace to Dorchester Junction (27m 1195yds). Shillingford Junction (29m 1020yds). Right to Wallingford (31m 1607yds) One way street through town to Bull, Streatley (37m 1277yds). Straight on through Pangbourne to bath Road (45m 510yds). Turn Right along Bath Road (50m, 738yds west of 49th mile stone) through Thatcham (Care at S bends), Newbury (great care at Clock Tower). Hungerford and Froxfield to a point 663 yards west of 71st mile stone 254 yards east of Putnall Gate Savernake. Turn (71m 1458yds). Retrace to finish 100miles.

Hastings and St Leonards Cycling and Athletic Club activities over the holiday weekend included touring, the Sunday run, and racing on road and track.

M Carpenter [Maurice Carpenter] did a very good ride in the Tricycle Association national 50 mile trial to take third place, with a time of 2hr 18min 26 sec. A week earlier he did an exceptionally fast time of 2hrs 15mins 26sec in the Dartmoor RC Open ”50”, held on a Devon course to win the handicap and improve his club tricycle record by more than four minutes.

The cub was also represented in the Dragon RC women’s 100 miles trial, held on the Bath Road; the Medway Wheelers’ 50 miles rial; and events at the Rye Sports on Monday.

Members on the Sunday run to West Sussex covered more than 100 miles having lunch at Shermansbury and tea at Buxted.

A club ”25” last week was won by B Dean [B Deane (Rye Wheelers)] of the Rye Club, in 1hr 7min 36sec. J Hollands [Jum Hollands] was next in 1hr 9min 38sec: and A Huggett was third in 1hr 10min 55sec.

Tomorrow the club tea will be at Chalvington
