The Course used was the G851:
Start on A267 just south of Hellingly Village hall traffic island, proceed south to Bohip roundabout (0.684 miles). Leave roundabout on A28 (2nd exit) continue to Polegate junction with A27 just beyond railway bridge (4.931 miles). Right on A27, straight over Wilmington cross roads to Berwick roundabout (GR524052) (8.315 miles)
Circle roundabout and retrace to Polegate junction with A22 (11.699 miles). Left on A22 to Boship roundabout (15.946 miles) Leave roundabout by first exit and continue on A22 to Golden Cross junction with B2124 (18.343 miles)
Left on B2124 through Laughton and Ringmer to approximately ¼ mile west of road leading to Electricity Board sub station on B2192 (GR431116). (25.313 miles) Turn and retrace through Ringmer, right at junction of B2124/B2192 through Laughton to junction with A22 at Golden Cross. (32.276 miles)
Left on A22 through Whitesmith, east Hoathly and Halland to ""Keep Left"" island at Union Point, Uckfield, junction of A22/A26. (39.567 miles) Turn round island and retrace through Halland, east Hoathly, Whitesmith and Golden Cross to Boship roundabout. (49.365 miles)
Leave roundabout by 1st exit along A267 to Finish at drain under power cables just short of start.

Hastings riders in the East Sussex Cycling Association's 50-mile time trial were P. Baker [Peter Baker] (2hr 21min 12sec), R. Wall [Richard Wall] (2hr 24min 21sec), and J.
