Rising cycling star Eighteen - year - old Peter Baker (above) has leapt to fame in only his first year as a senior member of the Hastings and St Leonards Cycling Club. His most dramatic feat was the breaking of the club's 11 year-old record for 25 miles by over a minute to become the first Hastings rider to complete the distance in under an hour. His time was 58min 59sec.
